Well, it is the first day of 2012. I will admit I am a sucker for new beginnings, including (but not limited to) the start of the school year and the start of a new calendar year. I always feel kind of inspired thinking about what may come in the year ahead. This year I started thinking about this blog. Specifically, I started thinking about how I was one of those people who started a blog and then never blogged. Why? I wondered. Well, I didn’t really wonder because I know why.

The reason is whenever I felt like blogging it was always about the same thing: my job reminding me to be thankful for my life and family and mindful of the time I have to spend with those I love. It would be pretty boring (and sort of preachy) to keep on writing about that. On the other hand, thinking about what I could write really did remind of all I have to be thankful for, which I liked. Back to square one.

So on this New Year’s Day I have decided to stop worrying about WHAT I am writing about and just worry about writing! I have always wanted to spend some time writing and no one is really reading this anyway, so who cares? My resolution is therefore to have fun with my blog! I am resolving to blog at least once per week, about whatever I feel like and not worry too much about redundant content (that can be next year’s resolution – ha!).
